Dear Friends and Family

Hi ...

After frantically running around for the last two weeks trying to determine what was happening in our life I think we know ... at least a little! ;-) Where to start???

In the middle of May we decided that we were really going to need to go to England to see Trevor's family - not having been back for a proper visit since before we got married, six years ago next month! Vacation times in Canada being the short length that they are, we were then faced with the question of whether we went for just two weeks, or whether Trevor quit his job and we went out longer. Having decided on the later, we then realised we would have to go out for long enough for Trevor to work in England, and we then realised we would have to go out for long enough to be able to rent out our house.

We were initially hoping to leave at the end of October for just six months, but we got word just two weeks ago that there was a family interested in renting our house out, but that they needed accomodation as of June 28th. The family was right, the price was right, and we were able to stay at my parents' house for the summer, as they were going to be gone for the month of July.

So, in the last two weeks we've packed up our house, and worked our way through several levels of bureaucratic requirements. Trevor has had an initial interview with a company in his parents' home town (we will be staying with his parents while we are in England) and it looks fairly likely that he will be hired when we get out there (we have nothing in writing, but Trevor is a perfect fit for a job he'd love, so we are praying!) We will be leaving Canada July 26th (firm but not finalised date, as we are waiting to buy our plane tickets for a few more days) and we are leaving our house tomorrow!

We are expecting to return the last week of April, but again, that is still up in the air. Also up in the air are plans to do quite a bit of travelling from a UK base - hopefully to Sweeden, Norway, the British Isles, Belgium (to celebrate our 10th anniversary of meeting each other), and possibly elsewhere. It should be fun!
