I think the thing that got my brain going the most on this chapter was a simple question - if Bonhoeffer is right, and there is no value in "voluntary discipleship", then how can you tell what is voluntary discipleship, and what is answering the call of Christ? In our own lives? In the lives of those we long to disciple?
And of course the corollary, is Bonhoeffer right?
